Going into the police station can be a life altering event…. if you have the wrong attorney. When you are looking for the best gun lawyer in Harrisburg, you need to get us. We have the reputation, KNOWLEDGE, experience and guts to get you out of any jam.
Negligent Discharges (accidental firing of a gun)
There is no specific crime in PA for negligent discharges. However, police will try to shoe-horn and cobble together one. They will likely try to charge you with Recklessly Endangering Another Person or Disorderly Conduct. For sure an accidental discharge is alarming. You are likely very embarrassed by it. But we don’t think it should be a criminal matter. It is a learning experience. Don’t let the government take your guns away for an accident.
When selecting which attorney to hire, please consider:
- Can you call anytime and talk to a live person?
- Do they offer payment plans with no credit checks?
- Will your attorney be attentive and explain what’s going on?
At The McShane Firm, we answer yes to all of these questions. We strive to provide you with a great customer service experience during this tough time.

Must know and love guns
You know that movie “Must love dogs?” If you have watched it you know that the requirement to date the main character is that any prospective suitor “must love dogs.” Otherwise its a no go. When you are facing serious criminal charges like gun charges, your attorney must know and love guns. You’d be surprised how many attorneys and DAs think guns are “icky”. They are very liberal. Generally, they are not simply gun grabbers, but gun prohibitionists. They would love to see all guns go away.

I felt very well represented. She is great at what she does. Of course I’m happy because my case had an excellent outcome, but I truly feel she would give you your best outcome for your situation. She is quick on her feet and very knowledgeable. Nothing bad to say. She is an excellent lawyer.

Justin Went Beyond our Expectations
I am a single mother and because of work could not spend enough time watching over my son. Unfortunately, he became involved with gangs and out himself in a very bad position. One of his friends was involved in a homicide and my son was being charged as well.
My sister recommended Justin McShane and we decided to have him represent us. He worked really hard and was very prepared. He cross-examined every witness and in the end my son was acquitted of all of the felony counts and left with a misdemeanor.
When I took my son to Mr. McShane’s office to thank him, he went out of his way to talk to my son about his involvement in gangs. He explained how serious these charges were and that if he continued in that way he could get into a lot of trouble. It looks like my son took that to heart because he has been staying at home more and we’ve been talking about getting him back into school.
Thanks Justin. You’re not only a good lawyer but a good man with a golden heart.
